I grew up in rural Shropshire and from an early age, friends and I would spend long summer days careering around the local lanes on our bikes. It soon turned into a real passion, and I started using my bike as the ultimate means of travel, spending holidays bike-packing long distances through France and the UK with a couple of friends in tow.

After graduating with a degree in French and Spanish, I spent several years living out in the French Alps working for a local cycle tour operator, before I returned to the UK to join the Cycling for Softies team and to manage the operational side of things here.

I feel very lucky to have been able to marry up a passion for cycling and travel into a dream job with Softies. It’s definitely one of the perks of the role to spend a big chunk of each summer travelling between our Head Office and our overseas destinations, training and looking after our Destination Managers, and ensuring that all the on-the-ground logistics behind our trips runs without a hitch.
